So it was apparently announced that Channing was for sure booked to be the new actor to play Gambit from the X-Men franchise but he has now denied reports that it is a sure shot thing.
"I hope to be joining - everything's not done yet," he told The Hollywood Reporter.
The actor continued: "I've obviously been in talks, and we're on the one yard line. I'm always afraid of being like, 'Yes, it's totally happening' and then it doesn't happen… I'm dying to do it."
Channing is clearly dying to play this role and considers himself perfect for it. So maybe we should accept it and see how he does.
