Wendy Williams just claimed on her talk show Lady Gaga and Katy Perry have "shelf-lifes" or in other words, they'll expire in 5-10 years.

She also says the following artists are "icons" and people will watch them perform for the rest of their lives:

Madonna
Jennifer Lopez
Mariah Carey

She also says she couldn't imagine Gaga or Perry having a Vegas residency where people 10 years from now will "sacrifice their souls to fly out to Vegas and see them".

The irony is that even if they have a shelf life, they'll make more in the ten years they're around than she will her entire life. TV talk shows also have a shelf life and then are completely forgotten once they're over, unlike music.

I don't think Gaga would ever want a Vegas residency. She loves traveling around the world and seeing her fans.

I also don't know why someone would want a Vegas residency so badly. I see it as they can't sell around the world so they just stay in the same location selling out the same place over and over again. Idk vegas residencies aren't really something I think are cool. IMO
