May 19, 2014 (Santa Monica, CA)--Multi-platinum, 3-time GRAMMY-Award winning band Maroon 5 has signed toInterscope Records. The group¹s highly anticipated fifth studio album, titled V, will be released on September 2, 2014, which will be preceded by a new single that will be released this summer. In addition, the band has signed a worldwide tour deal with Live Nation with tour dates to be announced in the coming weeks.

Recorded in LA over the past year with producers Max Martin, Benny Blanco, Ryan Tedder, Shellback and Sam Martin, V reunites Maroon 5 with long-time keyboardist Jesse Carmichael who took a hiatus while the band recorded 2012’s Overexposed.

It's a good two and a half years gap between albums. How is that being overexposed? It's a decent break

Sure the album came out 2 and a half years ago but it seems like the era hasn't been over for long enough

The singles are still being played way too often on HAC radio When did Love Somebody fall out of the Hot 100?

I see their new album is gonna be really poppy again and really generic too. They need (artistically, not commercially, of course, since they're doing fine commercially with their current sound) a change of sound imo...a bit more pop-rock, a bit less pop, you know.

I loved them during their pop rock days, but I like their pop music too.

Cool, will definitely check it out. Can't believe they're leaving Lucky Strike, Tickets, Doin Dirt, etc as album tracks though.

And I thought we were leaving the bland uninspired titles in 2013.
