The Pulse of Radio reportst that LINKIN PARK plans to cut down the space between new studio releases this time around, hoping not to repeat the four-year gap between 2003's "Meteora" and 2007's "Minutes to Midnight". Singer Mike Shinoda told The Pulse of Radio that the band members have been working on new material for a while and that he's even found time to record some demos while on tour. "Actually I've been doing a couple of studio dates out on the road, which is new for me," he said. "I did a date when we were touring in Germany, one date in Prague, a bunch of dates in New York, and I'm excited about that. It's been very cool for us. So long story short, we've been putting in a lot of work and hopefully we could have a new record out next year."

YES, I don't think I could wait that long again. 'Meteora' still has dibs on they're best album, but 'Minutes To Midnight' was still genius and wasn't a let down. Hopefully they will have it out by early next year or a single out by this year! Hopefully a new Fort Minor album this year.

I hope they go back to "numetal", their last album bored me to tears.

I don't understand why "MTM" was looked @ as one of their worsts, cause to me it was up to par to their last few albums.

They're smart. They know their relevancy kinda waned with the four year gap and with the lax performance of "Given Up" and "Leave Out All The Rest".

I just hope they don't turn me off with the first single off the next album like they did with this one.

agreed Minutes To Midnight is their worst album

I believe it was because this album was far more pop/rock in sound. And unfortunately, contained 1 or 2 fillers, while they're previous albums I am able to listen to without skipping a single track. Plus, we all know the videos were not up to par with they're previous genius videos. (with the exception of 'Leave Out All The Rest').

I liked them for being rebels and having that kick ass music.... MTM only had one kick ass song (Bleed It Out) and the rest was U2 wannabe crap. Also Mike needs to rap more, only so much whining aka singing I can take from Chester on those stale instrumentals they came with.

I don't agree with this comment. Alot of the music on this album was very top-notch, and Mike had an entire song to himself basically. There was no shortage in anything, just some filler material.

Thats the beauty of an opinion, we don't have to agree or see eye to eye in order to be right.

Of course, which is why I stated my opinion as you stated yours.

MTM really only had two tracks that I considered great, Given Up and Shadow Of The Day. The rest were mediocre and lackluster. Hopefully this time around they drift away from the sound they were going for on MTM that pretty much failed.

People, "numetal" is dead. It's not coming back, so get over it.

I agree. You can't expect them to sing the same style of music throughout every single album, they have to expand as artists.

I'm excited to hear this. A lot of people scoff at Linkin Park and think their music is kinda lame, but I've enjoyed all of their albums immensely. I hated the delay between Meteora and MTM. I hope MTM gets to 3x platinum.

Another beautiful thing about opinions is that, sometimes, they can be pretty damn wrong.

Bands from that genre from that era HAVE to evolve to stay alive now. Even though I'm not a big fan of MtM, I appreciate that they did change their sound. It's time to move on.

Either way, Ryan, "Given Up" is ****ing terrible.
