BTW, I just read that CFY was recently released to all pop radio and Top 40 radio stations across the US, and it's also been released radio stations in Canada. Oh, and for those who don't know, it recently entered the Canadian Hot 100 at #86 and now stands at #61. I hope this song debuts on the US Hot 100 very soon.

It's a hot song. It can be big since US is starting to accept dance songs.

Right now, despite the fact that Lady GaGa is doing better in downloads, September is doing better that GaGa because she's getting more airplay. Also, now that CFY has been submitted to all pop and mainstream US stations, it has a good chance at becoming a hit. Both artists deserve US success, and I want both them to debut on the Hot 100 ASAP. Let's just hope we see September on US TV shows promoting CFY very soon.

Considering what's dominating the charts, it will be hard since there are these things working against her.

1. It's a techno/dance song which these kind of songs don't do a whole lot of chart damage
2. She doesn't have a guest rapper

1. Listen To Your Heart, Everytime We Touch, See You Again, and Don't Stop The Music all became Top 10 hits here. Since Dance isn't extremely popular here, I'd say these 4 songs becoming hits here was a huge accomplishment.

2. Not EVERY hit song has a guest rapper on it.

Also, considering the fact that CFY has already become a smash in New York and Chicago, I don't think it will have a hard time becoming a hit throughout the rest of the US.

I wouldn't mind seeing "Cry For You" becoming a hit... it's almost reached the top 40 on CHR, and we can always use more dance songs becoming hits

I must say, I was actually surprised when I read this, because I had no idea she had any intention of promoting here in the US. After reading what she said, she seems determined for CFY to be a hit. I hope her determination pays off.

Cry For You

It's great she's going to promote it and try and make it a hit here in the states, but for once, it'd be nice to see a dance artist have a little longevity the US. I'd love to hear more dance/electronic sounding music on American radio, but none of these artists seem to be able to build upon the success of one or two songs, so after their "Everytime We Touch" or "Listen to Your Heart" has had it's run the American public forgets them completely. I hope September won't follow this trend.

That is a very excellent point, Patrick. Once these dance artists have their hit, they just end up becoming one-hit wonders in the US. I too would like to see a Dance artist that has more than one hit here.
