Britney is the third studio album from the Princess of Pop, Britney Spears. Her first self-titled album, it marked the shift from teen pop stars to sexy, adult stars. Still the standard for transitioning teen stars, we've most recently seen the album's influence in Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez.
Most of the singles were so badly chosen! "Lonely" never got the shine it deserved!
"Let Me Be" is still her most empowering and relatable (for her and her public) song she's ever recorded...
There's already a base for this. Closing this thread.
The base is for Britney Spears. This is an appreciation thread for the Britney album. There are tons of other appreciation threads so it's not like a rule was broken.

Anyway im thinking of watching a Britney tour on YouTube, which is her best tour?
I highly suggest the Dream Within a Dream Tour, the one she did in support of this album. It's my absolute favorite from her. A lot of stans prefer the Onyx Hotel Tour, though (in support of In The Zone).

Any suggestions/ideas for the OP can be posted on my wall/messaged to me/just post in the thread and say "Add to the OP, please:"
Also, reminder: The Britney stans are doing a purchase date on May 26th in the hopes of getting the album to 5x platinum. It is literally a handful of copies away.

I love the original post in this thread, too cute! This album is iconic, and Slave is still my jam.
Thank you I actually added the video from your avi, "Can't Be Tamed," to a video/song that was influenced by Britney. I didn't realize it was already Vevo certified.
"Britney" sold 12m WW according to LiveNation, OP. Which makes sense as Mediatraffic doesn't track all countries.

Released on November 5th, 2001, Britney is Britney Spears’ third studio album. Debuting at #1 in the U.S., the album sold over 700,000 copies in its first week and has since sold 12 million copies worldwide. Britney represents a pivotal moment in Spears’ artistic career, deviating from the sugar-coated pop of her previous two albums and incorporating edgier styles of music, like dance and hip-hop. The album also marks the first time that Britney took an active role in production. Britney produced the classic singles “I’m A Slave 4 U”, “Overprotected”, “I’m Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman”, “I Love Rock ‘N’ Roll” and “Boys”.
