Mess but tbh you don't know what that man(?) was going through. Those guys weren't protesting a business decision or corporation, they are picketing and condemning a person's very existence and livelihood so I'm not at all surprised by this reaction. It doesn't necessarily make our community look good for someone to act in this way, but I'm more sad for him than anything. That kid could've been exiled from his religious family, assaulted, or even something as simple as being called a *** right before, and seeing those men so casually and happily condemning his lifestyle was obviously a breaking point.
Things like this really shouldn't be allowed on campuses or anywhere public. It's not a right to protest, it's the public spreading of hate, and it really shouldn't be tolerated.
