Love how Bill Nye is taking a stand for the science community

Science deniers are literally an embarrassment to humankind. That's the one thing I hate about democracy: that idiots can get power and traction by leveraging the the power of many idiots.

People gonna agree with the anchor lady as well simply because she put him in that "bad spot light" and people are gonna be like "Yeah, stop bullying me with your Science" and **** like that

idiots already think ppl who believe in climate change and evolution are "snobs" and "hoity toity college goers" and they'll just use stuff like this as proof that climate change believers are elitists or something. ugh.

Bill Nye should shift his focus a bit on this issue though. Natural disasters are not as scientifically backed compare to other climate changes which are more supported

Just UGH, this is why the US is lagging behind compared to other countries in education While other countries are making technological advances in science and stuff, we are lagging behind with this kind of BS

He's a terrible spokesman, though. I think, cuz he's a scientist, he starts off with long-winded studies and just kept getting interrupted by that lady and that economist guy. + the people that vote and need to be convinced have the attention span of a shrew.

TBH, it'd be more effective to get someone like Tina Fey or Justin Timberlake to give like the ABCs of climate change or something. Nye is just making the stereotype of uptight, snobby democrats seem real

He's not a super good spokesman, but the guy knows what he is talking about. Why get some celebrity to try and convince people of climate change, it would be much worse.

His replies generally hit the mark though although he can wind it down a bit on his explanation. I commend Bill Nye for representing the science community and bringing a voice to the public. Its better to be vocal about it instead of "Don't even argue with them because you're just giving them power".

Yeah, he knows his stuff, but the people who hold the power now are the low-knowledge voters who are voting and campaigning for climate change deniers because the message of "You can keep guzzling oil, enjoying life, nothing is wrong" is a lot more persuasive than "The temperature of the earth is rising 0.6 degrees per year, etc"

Our side just needs some good old fashioned marketing Get a hot girl with big breasts, have bill nye stuff her with facts and quips, and ship her to fox news for some debates

I don't think that would work though Bill Nye is doing a find job and I hope he keeps it up. Honestly the only thing that may change overall public's perspective on the issue is if our society embraces the power of Science more. Also maybe if something big happens which finally makes us wake up but w/eeee

Yeah Michio Kaku is a great spokesman for science, would be nice if he helped Bill Nye out a bit. Either ways I like what Bill Nye is trying to do although he may seem a bit snobby about it.

I don't want a hurricane or some freak flooding to be the straw that breaks our backs I think we should consider doing anything and everything (even undignified things lol) to get the public to wake the EFFF up. before it's too late for us all

I just don't like how people are trying to discredit the evidence for Climate Change. its clearly there, and its hard to ignore it. Even if climate change/global warming wasnt true, that doesnt mean we can do w/e we please with the environment.

The people who thinks global warming isn't real obviously haven't taken a science class in their life and if they did they were the ones that mainly failed those classes
