Mariah said in an interview that "Love Story" had a video planned for it. Some of the scenes from "Bye Bye" are supposed to be for "Love Story", anyway, she said that the purpose for the appearance of Nick on the "Bye Bye" video was for the "Love Story" one...
Well, it doesn't appear that she's releasing any of the songs I would like (Cruise Control, I Stay In Love, Migrate, O.O.C, etc) so I think I may be done with this era.
I'm not a huge fan of Mariah, but I think "Migrate (feat. T-Pain)" would be the best strategic move for her. I instantly loved it from the first time I heard it (last night on SNL).
But my concern is that it may be too late. It's kind of like when Justin's "Chop Me Up" was finally released. It didn't go anywhere because it was released too late. Everyone who was gonna hear had heard it and was burned out by the time it got released. I'm afraid "Migrate" will suffer the same fate. Plus T-Pain's project is now getting promotion. Will there be any room on radio playlists for this song?
Are you guys blind? "I'll Be Loving You Long Time" is taking off VERY strong. It will raise albums sales for sure.
Her best choice right now would be "Side Effects" after that upbeat. I'm scared for her to release "Migrate" now. That's more of a second single, I think it would flop.

Well "Love Story" would fit as a good single for Mariah, since it is horribly boring and similar sounding to everything else she releases these days. "Migrate" is obviously the more interesting song, but most people don't seem to mind listening to her repetitive slow jam singles over and over, so... yeah.
I could also do with about 10 times more T-Pain and his vocoder on "Migrate".
