This could work:
Cady: Sierra Boggess
Regina: ?
Karen: Annaleigh Ashford
Gretchen: ?
Janis: Jennifer Damiano
Damien: Newcomer
Aaron: Derek Klena/Aaron Tveit
Mrs. Norbury: Laura Benanti
Mrs. George: Kristen Chenoweth
I wouldn't be surprised if the Heathers musical was kicked into action because word on the street was that Mean Girls was happening, or vice versa. I bet Mean Girls will fair better though because by its 15 year anniversary, the generation of girls and gays who grew up with it will be the right age demographic for Broadway shows, but the film will likely still be relevant for the younger generation who will have parents take them, and also be a guilty pleasure for older generations of girls and gays who loved the film. Heathers feels far more dated/of its time...and that time has past.

This is some flawless casting, I would love Annaleigh as Karen. I'd prefer Aaron Tveit over Derek for Aaron (even though I like Derek) but maybe Kyle Dean Massey could do it? Ana Gasteyer could reprise her role and Krysta Rodriquez could play Gretchen or Janis
