The Island State honored their own hometown hero by making April 21st a special day of celebration all about him!
Bruno showed up in Hawaii for a 3-night concert series on Thursday, along with his girlfriend Jessica Caban! And you’re not officially in Hawaii until you get LEI-ED!
As you can see in the pic above, Mr. Mars and his gal wasted no time in doing just that!

We hear they got in some much needed retail therapy before his show that evening at the Blaise Dale Arena. This marks the second time that Hawaii has honored Bruno with his own day!
The state’s legislature announced this week:
"Bruno Mars is an extremely talented young man and Hawaii is very proud of him. He represents our state well and I congratulate him for pursuing his musical gifts.”
