Why does he keep covering songs?

Did he write these songs?

Ryan Tedder was sick and lost his voice so Jesse sang for them while One Republic played.

Happy they didn't cancel the show. That's pretty cool. But just don't like Jesse's voice in general.

He keeps covering hits like Bleeding Love, Apologize, Stop and Stare .. so that people can know he still exists.

I like his cover of Stop and Stare, but Apologize? Horrendous.

Jesse wrote Bleeding Love, he recorded it ALONG time ago but Hollywood Records didn't want to use the song. He played the song for One Republic's Ryan Tedder and Tedder thought it was crazy that HR didn't like it. Ryan and Jesse ended up mixing the song and they gave it to Leona Lewis to use.

Again he didn't really mean to cover S&S and Apologize. Ryan was sick and they really didn't want to cancel the show so they had Jesse sing, he didn't sing along too. Everyone sang together, at the same time One Republic felt so bad that anyone who wanted to meet them could after the show. They stayed for hours.

I think he's covering 'Bleeding Love' because he co-wrote it with Ryan Tedder and then Ryan Tedder produced it and I assume thats how he has the link with Ryan Tedder and then how Ryan asked him to cover 'Stop And Stare' and 'Apologize' for him, because his voice has gone.
