To refresh your mind on Blu-Ray technology, you get HD (High Definition) Picture and Sound. The sound is uncompressed, unlike most regular DVD's, giving you a louder and crisper cleaner sound.

Back on topic ---- Cloverfield is worth every dollar. The action is packed and the sound is just flawless while keeping you on your toes throughout the whole movie. It's like you are part of the film.

The best scenes in the movie that give you the best features is the "War scene" with Clovey and the "Final Battle scene" where they barely escape in the helicopters.

If you are skeptic of buying Blu-Ray's, I got this advice for you (since I own 25 of them so far). Do NOT buy Comedy's with it (if you are tight on money). You get no experience out of it. Like yes the picture is better and maybe even the sound, but overall, compared to ACTION/HORROR movies, the experience is nothing. You need movies with random "bangs" to get the effect. That's why action and horror work best because of the explosions or the sound to make you jump outta your seat!

Not sure what the BEST was, but Beowulf was pretty damn awesome. Even though the story itself was meh, I was mesmerized by the detail.

That's not even on Blu-Ray is it? I had to buy the regular DVD version since it was only released to HD at the time.

HD-DVD and Blu-Ray are two different things. HD-DVD lost the battle and that was RIGHT when Cloverfield was being released. Cloverfield was going to be released to HD-DVD but since it lost the battle, they cancelled the release of it on HD and switched to making it on Blu-Ray which came out June 2nd?

But yeah, Beowulf on Blu-Ray would probably be high on the list. Eh?

Nevermind. I just researched on Amazon.com and found it was on Blu-Ray, but it comes out this month. I can't wait!!!

I'm also buying The Ruins next Tuesday on Blu-Ray. That should be bomb. There was a few jumps in that movie.

I have Beowulf on HD-DVD. **** Blu-Ray. I got a 360 HD-DVD player, and I love it, it was clearly the superior format.

I'll buy a PS3 later in the year for Blu-Ray. The 360 HD-DVD player will soon be obsolete for new releases.
