My only concern now in regards to the selling of the team is who gets the money once the team is sold? The Clippers could conceivably sell for $600+ million. Would Sterling get that money? And would anyone be willing to spend that type of money, give that type of money to a self-identified racist? That would be an awful way to start for a new ownership group.
Hopefully he's forced to sell the team for a nickel and the Hansen group swoops and moves the team to Seattle. That's my dream scenario, tbh.
But this was a fantastic first step by the league and the new commissioner. I hope the players feel vindicated and that their voices were heard.
