Not really all the best tracks were bonus tracks, the single choices were horrible and there's a ton of filler on there.

i disagree. it was a mediocre album, especially considering the hype surrounding the record. i remember being promised a fresh, electronic album... i got a bunch of stale polow da down and tricky stewart songs.

the bonus tracks however, were real gems.

Christina is always right. When she said that people were going to appreciate this album later on and that it was ahead of its time, noone believed her. Now, the praise is pouring in. 4 years overdue, but it's happening

That's what they meant. X originally wanted the forward thinking electronic album, but added the last minute polow da don and stewart songs last minute for broader appeal.

The article says that if X had stuck with her original direction it could have been a bigger album than it was.

I think Bionic has some of X's best ballads. You Lost Me, Lift Me Up, Stronger Than Ever are all amazing. Too bad radio was not receptive to playing ballads until Adele came through.

Look at Back to Basics and see what people are releasing now. Clearly everyone is adding that soul/jazz/blues/r&b touch to their music now.

The problem with Bionic was the first single, NMT wasn't catchy and the video was off putting for some then people started saying she was copying Gaga

This album has some bad songs, but I love it, it has her best ballads, and great bops, and she tried to sound different from all the pop girls ever tried to do, if people don't like it...
