No. I'm on the moderate to conservative side when it comes to my faith. But I'm not homophobic.

Sorry, but I am a Christian and I am gay, and I am comfortable with both my belief and sexual orientation. It's just how you choose to believe in your religion. You can choose whether following the mainstream interpretation or you gotta make your own. And just so you know, Christianity has so many branches, one of them is Progressive Christianity; and it embraces LGBT.

Gotta admit it though that the mainstream religions such as Christian or Islam often deny LGBTs, but as far as I know in Christianity the bible does not even mention about it in literal sense. It's different with Islam for example. I have limited knowledge on it tho, but I digress.

yes and no? it's weird (which is everything with me really). like I still wholeheartedly believe that your religion is a personal belief and you shouldn't pick and choose things just to fit you. not that it demoralizes the religion or anything, it's just you might strip the foundation and purpose of the religion and therein simply create something that's merely formed on your own beliefs.

a religion should be a part of your personal beliefs, and Christianity is a part of mine completely. however, even though I mostly focus my readings on the New Testament a lot of what happens in the Old Testament is a bit violent. That's basically it.

I don't think it does, I'm very focused in my religion, I run a ministry and bible study group, help with the services and volunteer with what I can. My pastor doesn't believe in same sex marriage but regardless of that no one is discriminated because of sexual orientation as we know that Jesus welcomed and loved everyone. Some people know I've been dating a guy for the past seven years (Since age 15 ) and they don't make it a big deal, one person even said that God doesn't care about that but more about the work I'm doing for him by spreading his word. I do try to keep my love life private though.
