ATRL: Stop App store from opening frequently

I Thought everyone should be aware of this. I came up with the idea of restricting your app store from your iPhone completely then another member (Posh) came up with this.

You can turn restrict the App Store like BlackJesus did, pretty easy and convenient if you don't use the store a lot. You'll just have to remember to unrestrict it when you actually want to use it. You can do this through parental controls (Settings > General > Restrictions > Enable > Safari).

There's also the option of putting on guided access mode. What this does is it locks you into one app (in this case, Safari or whatever browser you use) and will prevent that app from closing without your consent. This will also work in other apps that sometimes try to prompt you into opening other apps. (YouTube, games etc.) You can enable this by going to Settings > General > Accessibility > Guided Access.

If you don't use Safari for anything outside of ATRL then turning off JavaScript would work too, and probably be less annoying. You can disable it by going to Settings > Safari and turning JavaScript off. Of course, if you use other sites that you know use JS than this is the worst and least practical option.

These are your three best options, do whichever one is most convenient for you.

Android users:

Disable JavaScript by going to Options > Under The Hood > Content Settings > JavaScript; you may need this for other tabs. However, if you don't it's that's the easiest and most convenient route to take.

If you don't want to disable JS and don't mind having to close applications then try [Main device] Settings > Apps > Play Store > Clear Defaults - When come back on ATRL it will try to redirect you, and you'll be presented with a pop-up asking you how you want to open the link, click on the browser you use the most. This will prevent Google Store from opening and rather just open another tab in the browser. This is a tad bit annoying but at least it's easier to close a tab than an entire application.

By my understanding, you can edit restrictions through the Users tab in the Settings. You may be able to disable Google Play from opening there, I'm not entirely sure.

You can also download Firefox and then get the AdBlock extension.
Make sure to buy ATRL+ afterwards to show your support for the site.

Just a some little fixes to keep you from getting those pesky redirect ads are finally removed.

I'm not an avid Android user, so there may be other solutions. If you know any, please share!

Did you restrict Safari or the app store?

It sounds like you did the former, which would result in the disappearance of the app on your homescreen. Enable it again and restrict the app store instead.

The OP should actually say Enable > App Store. That was my mistake, but I can't edit it now.

The App store prompts usually get past Ad Block anyway on other mediums.
I had the Ad Block on my Galaxy Note and I still got transferred to the App store for Candy Crush and 777 slots
