This is why I stan for Mariah and Buble. Both came from nothing, and has worked their way up to the top of their games. I have so much respect for these two because they did not take anything for granted.
Mariah, had nothing growing up, and she has been the subject of racial profiling, and worse case, violence due to prejudice. I have so much respect for her because she worked hard to become the biggest female artist I have ever known. (I know Madonna is #1, but to me she's everything).
Michael, like Mariah didn't come from a rich family. He was born to a fisherman who he helped everyday when he was 14.
Quote:
From age 14, Bublé spent six years working during the summer as a commercial fisherman with his father and crewmates.[5][24] Bublé described his work experience as "The most deadly physical work I’ll ever know in my lifetime. We’d be gone for two, sometimes three months at a time and the experience of living and working among guys over twice my age taught me a lot about responsibility and what it means to be a man."[8]

I have so much respect for these two because they came from nothing, and look where they are now. And what's even better is that they keep their feet to their grounds. They're such inspirations to me, and hopefully my dreams will come true as well.
I don't have respect for artists who has been given the golden spoon at an early age, and who has never had real struggles going up. I feel like they don't deserve their success because they had it easier than most people. I literally can't stand them, and will not have respect for them anytime soon.
I am all in for that artist who struggled all their life, who came from nothing, and found their way into achieving their dreams.
So my question is, do you have more respect for artists who came from nothing?
