It used to be a style of shoes that upper-class / rich people wore, with their jumpers tied around their neck, with the body of the jumper / cardigan resting on their back, behind them.

Now it's seeped into the mainstream, where everyone wears them. I think it's a good thing, as well as a bad thing.

Why are all my fellow homos hating on them for being "gay"? And everyone can wear them, straight, bi, and gay men and women alike.

Anyways I must have at least 15 pairs of Sperrys in my closet at the moment, so you can probably guess my feelings on them

Admittedly though it's a bit weird seeing them all over the place in the last 2-3 years. I only ever associated them with places like where I live, so it was funny when I started seeing them far removed from actual boats too.

You mean Sperry's? I hate them. Sanuk makes more casual versions of them that I adore.

2 years ago, that's pretty much all I wore. I still have a ****-ton of Sperry's but they collect dust in my closet instead of being on my feet.
