I live in La Jolla but I had a friend come visit me from L.A. and I know he took the train. I think it was like three hours and he said he really enjoyed the view but that was it. He also said water is like $3 for a regular bottle. I've never taken it so I can't say but I want to one day.

It's nice, lots of tourists but I think is like that everywhere in the SD area. Its time for you to come see more of the south area of California, there's some really cool places to explore.

I'll ask my boyfriend to take me around. We've only been together a month and he hasn't taken anywhere other Pendleton/Oceanside/Carlsbad. I would like to see SeaWorld for this trip.

I'd be a fun date if he does take you there! In July though make him take you to Encinitas for the Bro-Am fest, it's really awesome! That is if you're into surfing and a few alternative bands.
Trying to take the train from LA to Camp Pendleton this weekend to see boyfriend. Anyone ever taken that ride? How's it like?
I took the train to San Diego when i was younger a few years ago. I've taken it twice. It's absolutely DREADFUL. It's so long. The view is for sure pretty but it feels like a LIFETIME on that train.
