Van Doorn was a former member of the Geert Wilders anti-Islam right wing Dutch Party for Freedom. Wilders was the man behind the 2008 anti-Islam film, ‘Fitna’.
During his Hajj pilgrimage in 2013, talking to Saudi Arabian daily Saudi Gazette, Van Doorn had said that he bitterly regrets having taken part in the production of Fitna (Sedition), adding he was in the holy sites to atone for his sins.
Van Doorn had said he will produce a new film that will show the true essence of Islam and the correct personality of Prophet Mohammad (pbuh).
He currently serves as President of the European Dawah Foundation and Ambassador of Celebrity Relations for Canadian Dawah Association in Europe.

We all know about the dutch film that was released couple of years ago that sparked rage around the world. After almost 2 years of its release both the Director and his son accepted Islam as a religion, amazing how things change.
