But it seems Cher Lloyd is a little less known across the pond, as a publicist had to hold up a name placard informing the press and public exactly who the 20-year-old is on the red carpet outside Los Angeles' Supperclub.
Although Cher, 20, looked every inch the American singer, showing off long wavy blonde tresses that wouldn't look out of place on Californian beach, her identity clearly needed to be clarified.
What is this non-article and which website did it come from? This is a common practice, done at almost every red carpet event except the publicists usually shout out the person's name instead.
