I didn't really.

For some songs I think BEYONCÉ was inspired by progressive R&B artists like Frank, Miguel, Weeknd. Some parts of it were more reminiscent of the Bey we all know and love (Blow, Yoncé/Partition, Drunk). But I think BOOTS' was definitely the main influence on her album, with his electronic/ambient/hip hop sound. He did help produce like 90% of it.

But nothing really sounds like Janet or Madonna to me.

As for as the sexual themed music

I mean even beyonce said she was influence by Madonna and wants to become a MOGUL business woman like madonna on her album release party. Especially in the track "Haunted" even the video looks like Madonna's justify my love video but in color.
I love them both tho

Idk, but the album was more influential & outsold Erotica by about 10 million

Didn't they say the exact same thing about Rihanna's "Talk that Talk"?
