I'm at my university library right now and I am getting irritated because people across the way are having a gossip worthy conversation when I am trying to study (and occasionally post on ATRL ).

What my question is why do people feel the need to get into a conversation in the library at all?
First of all, a library is a place of reading and studying for the most part.
Second, anyone who goes to the library has a purpose of coming to the library outside of conversation and its more about working.

Lastly, more specific to today, IT IS FRIDAY
Why is anyone at the library who wants to have a conversation in the library here
People don't want to come to the library to actually enjoy themselves and enjoy a nice conversation

What do y'all think is the cause for conversation in a library?

I thought I was so smart in picking to study on a Friday peacefully because the irritating people would be gone by then

I mean I get the studying when people are doing group study work, but when its literally going off on a professor, its like GO AWAY

Update: I moved into the quiet study room which was better, but then 3 people literally game in and sat at a table in front of me (one of the apparently doesn't go here) and had the ordasity to start talking and eating

This special quiet area is no talking or eating.
Should I eventually go up and report this girl who isn't from my school and stop complaining?
