Celeb News: B.Scott loses discrimination battle with BET

TMZ broke the story, Scott sued the network, claiming it humiliated him during the BET Awards last year by forcing him to change from women's clothes into men's clothes ... and then yanking him off the show entirely.

But the judge in the case just ruled in the network's favor, dismissing the lawsuit.

The judge ruled BET has the 1st Amendment right to run its shows the way it wants ... and that includes ordering Scott to change from women's to men's clothes ... and that's that.

Scott tells TMZ, "It disheartens me that the message sent today wasn't a message of acceptance, but rather it's acceptable to discriminate against transgender individuals on the basis of their gender identity and expression."

Scott's attorney has said he plans to appeal the decision.

That's no excuse, he even sent them a pic of what he was going to wear and they approved ahead of time.

There was something fishy about this suit to begin with. I think B.Scott was pushing his luck with this suit. It doesn't make sense to me why they would hire him fully knowing what he's all about only to discriminate.

The ruling was right though, Scotty should have left the venue and refused the pay they offered him, had he done that the ruling would've went differently.

BET is a homophobic network and the email they sent him only proves it.
They let these rappers sag and use all kind of ridiculous lyricism on stage but wanna have him dress differently for a 'kid friendly' broadcast?

Doesn't matter, they legally have a right to change their mind about how they feel about his outfit. I don't agree with it is, but it is what is. It's basically like when some companies decided to end causal fridays.

Um if she identifies as trans the TMZ article and some people here are using the wrong pronouns.

I remember hearing about the case. Sad to hear the case didn't go in her favor.
