Death at the thought of either Katy or Beyonce ever coming CLOSE to touch Madonna's legacy. Beyonce may be able to give Britney a run for her money career wise (certainly these days), but her celebrity will never come close.

Yes. Britney Spears has never had a 3x platinum album in her career whereas Katy Perry, the album-selling phenomenon of our generation, has 1.




Also, I never got why people never started calling Beyonce the Princess of R&B. She's super successful, a staple/icon/legend of the genre (and music in general), but came after Mariah chronologically and is too young/sexy still to be anything but a "Princess."

There wont be another Madonna; Beyoncé is the Queen but she's on her own lane. she doesnt have to be the new Madonna or the new Britney. as long as you're being called the next Madonna you can only be PRINCESS.

Katy can replace Rihanna as the hitmaker of this generation i wouldnt mind; but BRITNEY is THE princess of Pop; she's untouchable. there's only one queen of pop & only one princess pop.

Britney was an extreme pop icon and is still arguable the most successful POP star.

Beyonce is on a different lane and Katy still has so much to prove. its not because she had 2 successful eras and a third on the way that she can be given the thrown yet.
