We wanted to thank the community for sharing their concerns around a recent segment and the use of the term 'she-mail' on Drag Race. Logo has pulled the episode from all of our platforms and that challenge will not appear again. Furthermore, we are removing the 'You've Got She-Mail' intro from new episodes of the series. We did not intend to cause any offense, but in retrospect we realize that it was insensitive. We sincerely apologize.
sounds like people are being over sensitive? thats what the show was about? its not like people outside of the community was using it - plus it Ru himself
It was a cute play on words ON A SHOW ABOUT THE GAY COMMUNITY. Seriously, if we can't laugh at ourselves, why even be camp? Why even be gay? We have a history and a culture of not being stuffy and conforming.
I'm disappointed that nobody can stand their ground. People buckle under the slightest of controversy and it's really sad.
I am glad Ru decided to do this.. This is how you admit when you are wrong.
I am glad the trans community brought this point up, and am glad ru was not defensive about it at all. This is how we accept things and move towards a more equal community
Ya, as much as we can say "stop being so sensitive", it's very easy for us to say that when we are not feeling personally victimized. RuPaul is amazing for doing it, getting it over and done with it classily and moving on.

I can agree with this. It's not like it's an integral part of the show. If it offends even a small sector of people, it's best to just get rid of that one insignificant thing for the common good.
