"Happy" becomes most successful song in Dutch chart history

With 35 weeks in the top 40 and counting, it now has 1209 points, pushing Gotye to #2. Happy is the biggest hit in our 50 year history.

The news also pushed Happy back to #1 on Dutch iTunes.
(Un?)fortunately the top 40 does not count single sales anymore in their formula, else he could go back to #1.

Hence why even the Dutch Mega Top 50 is more accurate than that chart.

No way, the Top 40 is better. Single sales are so negligible now. I do feel they overreacted to the exposé but in the end it barely made a difference.

What is counted in the formula? Radio and streaming?

I remember seeing it in a couple of euro itunes top10 charts way way back and wondering what the hell it was. Same with Passengers Let her go. Then they slowly take over the world.
