Yours Truly felt more like an introduction to the masses. They kinda screwed up Baby I and Right There (wasn't even sent to its main format). There was also SO much wasted material: Honeymoon Avenue, Tattooed Heart, Piano etc. That Christmas Kisses EP just felt like a non-factor and negl Ari should've went along with her Halloween 2014 EP idea (the imagery would've slayed), put out a few YT singles, wrap up Sam & Cat, and THEN go ahead with the sophomore record.
Not complaining though, new music is always great

Kinda wished that they had milked Ari's debut for what it was worth, could've definitely grabbed a Grammy nomination instead of just presenting for Lorde's win
Also, I feel like she wasn't READY to be marketed yet. As many others have mentioned before, Ariana was still associated with that Nick/Disney stigma. I'm sure this era will break those inhibitions.
