I prefer colored shirts over colored shorts, if that makes sense. A lot of times, the shorts completely overwhelm the whole outfit and leave it feeling like too much.

White, black, brown, beige, tan, shorts are the best imo and bring out the best of a person, especially their shirt and shoes.
