What voice do you prefer when used for talking and for singing?

I enjoy both on different occasions but i especially love the female voice when used for singing, it's gorgeous and interessting. I've been sort of bored of male voices lately even if they fit as "beautiful" like Bruno Mars etc...but some male voices I cannot get enough of are by some artists I don't especially like ex: Drake, Adam Lambert, The Vamps, George Shelley of Union J, The Neighborhood, Death Cab for Cutie, Bill Kaulitz of Tokio Hotel.

Female, most male singers imo sound so whiny.

Female voices. They just sound better

Male singers have girly voices and I can't deal with that.

Female voices for pop music are definitely more diverse and interesting, then when you listen to a lot of genres like alt rock and rnb, many male voices tend to sound very much the same.

I can't deal with the constant whiny tenor of practically every male pop/rock singer, so I say female. I'd listen to a man speak any day of the week tho. It's why Siri is now a he.

Male singing voices are nice too. I like to hear men sing R&B, country, and heavy metal.

I adore female vocals with male background vocals. Examples:

Boot's "On to you, I'm onto you" at the end of Haunted
The "Huh" "ha" in Get Me Bodied and Sweet Dreams
The male background vocal screaming "I don't know!" towards the end of Jordin's Battleship etc

High pitched/flat singing females annoy me (early Madonna, Kylie, Britney) and so do whiny/girly male singers (Jason DeRulo and Justin Timberlake). I find that I am mostly annoyed by solo male singers. When they're in a band they are less annoying.

I prefer female but I probably have 50/50 male-female on my ipod.

Male voices tend to sound the same for me. Like country singers sound the same, singer/songwriter guys with guitars, R&B/soul singers. I even hear similar voices like the lead singer of Passenger.

That goes without saying, there are a lot of female voices that sound the same as well but I feel like females have more distinctiveness.

Singing- Females.. I love hearing women sing there's something really special in their tone and pitch that most males don't have. Unless they're like a John Legend, Boyz 2 men, Luther Vandross type that soothes my soul

When singing, I tend to like female voice but I like male voices sometimes too.

When talking… I prefer the male voice though.

I prefer female voices for pop, but when it comes to rock/alternative i prefer male.

When it comes to speaking, female. There isn't really any guy's voice I'd classify as attractive, but deep female voices are really nice to listen to.
