I'm sure everyone knows by now that The Roseland Ballroom is coming to an end. Given that, I think it's appropriate (being music fans) that we kind of pay tribute to something that has been an amazing part of NYC for so long.
Let's take a look at some of the amazing gigs The Ballroom has held over the years.
Most Notable right now are of course the Lady Gagagigs that are set to send the ballroom off to it's farewell.
Deadmau5
Dirty Mix
Madonna performed a promo tour to support Hard Candy
And her album "Music"
And again for the MDNA tour, she held competitions to chose dancers here.
I'm not sure why. I guess it's more profitable for them to have appartments
Towards the end of Roseland's run, it wasn't really booking many acts to perform there unlike it's competitors (for lack of a better word). It might have been a hard sell for artists who aren't "big" enough (the venue's capacity is 3500 between two levels), but then maybe "too small" for other artists to consider playing it. Who knows at this point?
Honestly I think the venue just wasn't profitable enough, most people that play in NYC do it in other venues nowadays so I can see why they would close it down.
I love how you never capitalize Gaga's name you obsessed little turd.
What are you talking about? Lady gaga's name is in bold like all the others. None of their names are capatalised.... I even called gaga's show the most notable at the moment.
Edit: Oh, You mean her "stage name" that isn't in the begining of a sentence. It wasn't even intetional and it's correct grammar as it isn't her name. I'll fix it for you though.

I know what a proper Noun is. I don't believe "Lady Gaga" is a proper noun. Her Name is Stefani. People don't get to decide what proper nouns are. Anyways, it doesn't matter beause I updated it. It's not worth the disagreement lol
