Too possessive is when one person tries to control any aspect of the other person's life. Telling them who they can and can't hang out with, telling them when they can do this or that, not letting them go out by themselves, forcing them to change the way they look or their interests, etc.

Also, don't mistake any of this as your partner being passionate or loving you.
