Who Are The Dollyrots?
The Dollyrots are a band made up of three member, Kelly Ogden on lead vocals and bass, Luis Cabezas on guitar, and Chris Black on drums. They were founded by Kelly and Luis, who had known each other since eighth grade. They were only a band for fun until November of 2000. They decided to go professional after George W. Bush won the elections. Kelly said that, ""We were watching the 2000 presidential election results, and at four o'clock in the morning, when we found out that George W. Bush had won, Luis and I were like, "The world's probably gonna end anyway, and I don't want to go to med school," so we thought, "Let's just do the band." So that's when it happened. We had no future anyways, so let's just be in a rock band!" They've had two albums, Eat My Heart Out and Because I'm Awesome. They're most successful song, so far, is "Because I'm Awesome". It has been featured in many commercials and promotional videos. Most notably, the Kohl's "Back to School" commercials in August and September of 2007.

The Dollyrots have chosen the second official single for their sophomore album,
Because I'm Awesome. It will be "My Best Friend's Hot". It will go for official radio adds on April 15, 2008. The same day as Rihanna's "Take a Bow" and The Veronicas' "Untouched". This is the albums second
official single, but it is the fourth single overall. "Watch Me Go (Kissed Me, Killed Me)" was released late 2007 and "Brand New Key" was released early 2008. As of April 22, 2008, the single has 30 spins on Mediabase, placing it at #125. The single also sprang up a small amount of listeners on Last.fm. It now has 43 listeners for this week, placing it at #2, right behind "Because I'm Awesome" with 66 listeners. You can listen to it
