I really really need some big help. I'm organising a talent show, and I need to get some instrumental songs for the contestants. Anyone here knows how to make a song instrumental? How can I delete the singer's voice and make the melody of the song the only thing playing? Thanks
The beat/instruments are usually recorded in both channels (right/left) and the vocals are placed in the middle. So the basic idea is to remove the center vocals. Sometimes the vocals are mixed with some instrumental, so once you get rid off the vocals, you will lose some instrumental element(s) as well. Or sometimes you may lose everything but the background vocals as it's the case with most of Mariah Carey songs, and it may turn into an acapella. LMAO. So basically, the vocal removing methods depend on how the song was originally recorded/mixed. Plus it has to be an original CD-rip so you can get the best results. But you should always remember that it's impossible to get a 100% perfect noise-free instrumentals.
^ Ditto. Download Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net) & there's a FAQ in their page that tells you how to do that. (You have to split the stereo track, then inverse the left one, or sth like that) However, results may vary.
Can someone post a FREE way to do it. (And no Adobe free trial, an actual FREE way to do it.) I'd like to learn how to do this to some songs that I can't find.
