everyone loves 'em
have you seen the receipts for University Monsters, Despicable Me 2 and Frozen?
check it and you'll get the answer to why they make 'em
Hmm the demograph for those movies are for kids and families so it makes sense lol.
I used to be obsessed with cartoons when I was younger and I just grew tired of it tbh.

Most animated films aren't like Blues Clues or something
I feel like you're @ that stage where you think you're "too grown" for animation?
Well you're not, kid.

Have you not seen 9 or Animal Farm? Probably some of the deepest and most inventive stories you'll ever find in film. And not every animated film is geared towards the younger demographic; look at any DreamWorks animated film and tell me they were made for children...
Yes A lot of the older Disney stuff like Atlantis, The Black Cauldron, & The Sword in The Stone are still great to me as well as some of their newer stuff. Studio Ghibli also creates some great animated movies. You're never too old for animation.

Animation is superior to live imo. Watch the 2001 film Spirited Away and it will change your mind. Like that movie is literally proof that animated films are of caliber as live action ones lol.
The thing is that a lot of these great animated films are watched by almost everyone is simple. They have have great stories and characters. Just look at Frozen, Toy Story, Finding Nemo, Despicable Me, etc. They're loved for a reason and it sure isn't the bright colors.
I really hate when people think animated=childish. Just because it's animated doesn't mean it doesn't have a good story. No one ever said just because you learn how animated films are made means you can no longer enjoy them. Who cares how old you are? A good story is a good story. If you can't find the light in a movie aimed for children I would definitely not want to be you.
