I did some research on Myspace Records.
It's a owned subsidiary of News Corporation. Albums and promotions will be handled through Universal Music Group. The General Manager previously worked for Hollywood Records, and it's president is Tom Anderson (you all have him as a friend on Myspace

). Marketing inside of the US will be by Interscope, and other Universal subsidiaries for foreign markets.
So I guess it's not an indie label by some standards. It's a pretty sweet deal actually.
