Anyone know anything about this girl? I can't believe ten years ago she sang "Show Me Love." Very reminiscent of early Britney Spears. I'm assuming she worked with the same producers. I read that she bought her way out of her monster contract because she didn't want to be the cookie-cutter bubble-gum sex-pot pop princess (ie. Britney). Honestly, she should have been bigger than Britney. Now, she has her own label and nobody has control of her. She's not big, but still needs to get recognized.

Anyway, this is about Robyn. I learned about her from Perez. Her new album is GENIUS just look up her videos for With Every Heartbeat, Handle Me, Be Mine, and Konichiwa Bitches. There are two different versions of most videos. Not sure why, but I'm assuming it's to update from 2005 to 2008? Released today on her Myspace are TOUR dates for the US. If demands are huge enough, I have a feeling she will release her 2005 album here, which is the best news I have heard in a long time. It's a shame and I apologize on behalf of our country that we have the WORST taste in music, and brilliant acts such as Robyn get ignored because we are way too focused on mainstream music. No, she doesn't have sex appeal to sell music. No she's not gorgeous, but she's pretty. Who cares if she has a "funny" haircut. I like the fact that she's not trying to be anyone else but herself. I like the fact that she's different. To each her own, I guess. Put all judgments aside and just give her music a listen. You will fall in love. <3
