I feel like most of the important stuff on history has happened on the Atlantic, though except for the Azoreans and the people who live in the Falklands no one lives there. (Wait...do we count the Caribbean as part of the Atlantic? If so then we got a bunch of colonized islands so I guess that works as well).

The Pacific is vital to Asian and Western history, the Indian played less of a role in history and the Poles are could.
