Simple question: Which radio versions of album tracks are your favorites, and which do you think are god-awful? If you don't understand, take Britney Spears' "(You Drive Me) Crazy" for an example. The album version was not the same as what was played on radio (correct?)
This song gave me the idea of starting this topic:
That's basically the only good radio mix I can think of right now.
These were disasters though:
Listen to the album versions and you'll see what I mean.
i think it all depends on how the radio edit / remix sounds in comparison to the original...but with your example of (You Drive Me) Crazy, i actually liked the Remix / Radio version better because it had more of that "bubblegum pop" flare and feel that was being played on the radio at the time. The original version would have done well too but the remix has a better beat and the "STOP!" breakdown is just awesome. The one thing that i do not like sometimes is when artists include another singer on the radio version, for example, Gwen including Slim Thug on "Luxurious." But i don't hate when they add another artist all the time, it just depends on who it is they have included
EDIT: I liked the remix radio edits from Whitney Houston's "My Love Is Your Love" album, they were better for radio, but I still like the originals too!
