A lots of Asian started listen to Western music from Avril.
Her debut album was really huge in Asia, and she was the queen of world at that moment.
Western music was not that popular in Asia before 2000.
Only Mariah and Madonna and Britney are known by most of Asian.
But they don't really interested.
Since Avril debuted, Asian became interesting in Western music.
Avril is Asian's "Queen of Western" without any doubts.
She loves Asian as well, she came to my country many times(she just finished her concert in my country yesterday), she has great personality and people love her.
I guess that's why she still huge in Asia even other countries pay her dust.
