PHOENIX (AP) — A man convicted of killing nine people, including six monks, during a robbery at a Buddhist temple in metro Phoenix was sentenced Friday to 249 years in prison, marking the end of one of the most notorious criminal cases in Arizona over the past 25 years.

A better punishment would be to bury him alive.

The law is so stupid. They sentence him to that length of time knowing full well that he won't live to 249 years old, let alone 249 years on top of how old he already is.

Mess. But sentences like this are becoming rather common.

Man received 3 consecutive life sentences plus 45-90 years

Man received 3 consecutive life sentences plus 150 years

Two people, one sentenced to 150 years and the other to life plus 115 years.

The most puzzling to me was this 15 year old being sentenced to 118 years and 6 consecutive life sentences for robbery

I honestly don't know, but I completely agree that it makes no sense. I'm still @ that 15 y.o getting sentenced like that for a damn robbery. America, ha judicial system

This sentence is stupid, and I don't believe in keeping someone in jail forever. Either give them 25-30 years or put them down.
