The Rolling Stones invited Katy to perform "Beast of Burden" with them on their tour, and Katy was on Graham Norton with Paul McCartney where he praised her and she also was invited to perform "Hey Jude" and "Yesterday" for him in the past couple years.

3rd biggest radio station in my country is an pop/alternative one. They don't play Katy's music, just like they shunned Freddie Mercury (camp image) by not playing Queen songs or considered synthesizers sacrilege (not playing Depeche Mode, Front 242,...) in the past. I did catch them on playing IKAG because of listeners were allowed to request songs by donating money to charity. The DJ giggled like he is about to do something very wrong/naughty.

I ran away from pop into metal 10 years ago and wasn't aware of anything happening in pop. Can't blame him.

I wouldn't go that far, Katy is the most bubblegum pop girl there has ever been. I'd be surprised if he knew who she was.

But he definitely knows Beyonce, GaGa, Rihanna. Katy's almost too childish, it's entertaining now, but i won't be listening to Katy at 30
