Cheryl Cole works with Eminem songwriter on hip-hop track
Quote:
Cheryl Cole has worked on a new track with Eminem songwriter Jon Bellion.
The newly reinstated X Factor judge has recorded a hip-hop track co-written by Bellion, who recently helped pen Eminem and Rihanna collaboration 'The Monster'.
Producer Jesse Shatkin confirmed the studio hook-up during an interview with MuuMuse and also revealed that Cheryl has worked on a new ballad.
"It's strong, it's powerful and really from the heart. She loved it," he said. "She sounds awesome."
Shatkin has cut several songs for Cheryl's upcoming fourth studio album, which is expected to be released later this year.
Meanwhile, Cheryl joked that one of the reasons she decided to return to the UK version of The X Factor is because there was only so much "begging" she could take from Simon Cowell.
This exact headline was around before her previous album as well. She worked with Eminem producer (Alex Da Kid), and it turned out the song was Under the Sun. It was a good song, but I think Screw You should have been a single over it, as that would have gone top 10 imo.
