I notice that a lot of gays, especially fem gays, hate drag queens and say that theyre gross/scary/etc. Why? its so sad to see discrimination within a community thats already discriminated against! even straight people enjoy drag queens, but gays arent having it???
Plenty of gays love drag queens. I think they're entertaining but it can be a bit too much sometimes. I mean, some people don't like clowns, magicians, etc. So what.
Because gay cismales are a bit transphobic, as well as severely not understanding that drag queens just do it for show most of the time, and they want to "distance" themselves since society likes to link gender identity/expression and sexuality.
Because just like straight men a lot of gay men reject feminity and think men should be "real men" or whatever. Obviously just to a much lesser extent. When they see drag queens they get angry because they think people will associate them (extremely effeminate men) with their allegedly masculine selves.

Erm, drag queens aren't transgendered. It's not transphobic to not like them.
They are doing a job/entertainment. And as a consumer I can choose to not like it.
