With the current Malaysia Airlines mystery going on, are you afraid to travel by plane?

How is it that they cannot find such a large plane? A plane that carries 230+ ppl has to be huge. Therefore, the fact that they haven't found it is concerning. Additionally, Asia is one of the most populated continent; thus, the theory about the plane landing in the jungle or mountains is not too plausible: chances are someone would have seen or heard something (planes are loud btw)

I'm thinking the plane probably plunged right into the ocean, nose first, right to the bottom of the ocean, maybe that's why they haven't found anything yet.

Boyfriend is a flight attendant. Nothing will scare me away but I'll always have a minor fear for him.

I get in my car and drive every day -- statistically, I am far more likely to end up getting scraped off a highway than I am to die in a plane crash, so why should I be afraid to fly?

Thousands of planes fly everyday, I hear one go by every so often. The tragedy is sad but it will not stop me from flying. I love flying and I'll be going on a flight in two weeks and am not stressing. The window seat is always the best because the view is so beautiful.

I think they're less scary than cars
