Ever since I don't live there anymore, I am able to appreciate Germany a bit more. It is actually quite a good place to live, considering the political and social system and the standard of living.
Saviour of the eurozone and world economy? Seriously? Dumping salaries and temp workers are the reason why Germany's economy is doing good in comparison to other countries BUT it's also one of the reasons why other countries are struggling so bad. Not to forget that German middle class people can't even afford raising children anymore and others have to have multiple jobs to pay their bills. Living in Germany makes only sense if you belong to the richer ones while the others are doing the hard work. There's is really nothing right now to brag about politically.
I'm not saying it's bad to live here but Germany's population has experienced better times. Health care and free education is still pretty amazing though.
I'm from Germany and you need to stop praising our country tbh. Sure, the cities are nice, but the political system is a mess and we're behind on so many things. ByE.

Germany is so hated here in the Netherlands it's just crazy people are still mad over Germany stealing our bikes in WWII that whenever someone German asks 'Where can I find ____' they either ask to have their bikes back first or they direct em back to the border

really? whenever I went to The Netherlands, people were really friendly to me and most of them even spoke German with me.

I also live like 3 km from the border, but I live in Germany.
And they hate dutch people here too. It's tragic.
BTT: I don't really like Germany, it's boring. I want to move far away someday.
But I know that I will miss the standards here.
