For a single that was released nearly one year ago with zero promotion (aside from the movie), it's still holding up on iTunes. Currently it's #371 but it was hanging around in the 200's for months. It's #66 in the UK right now but I think there's a discount + iTunes promotion going for that right now. There was talk that Interscope was going to push for another Cedric remix for the award season but seeing as how it was snubbed pretty much everywhere they probably decided not to go ahead with it.

But that doesn't explain why it's still hanging in there. Could it have smashed big?

It's been a pretty big hit for a few months here during the last summer, and I assume it were a similar case in a few other countries. It's not on the radio these days but for a song that wasn't performed anywhere nor promoted it did pretty well.
