Quite a serious and controversial topic here, but the question is - do you believe that school-shooters are monsters? The media and GP seem to vilify them and brandish them as being 'monsters', 'evil' or 'inhuman' but I don't always think this is correct. Let me explain.
I feel as if for a lot of school shooters they are bullied, outcasts etc. and they do what they do as a form of revenge. Now, don't get me wrong what they do is inexcusable and atrocious, they deserve to be punished. However for the majority (not all, some are genuinely just cruel people) I feel as if they just snapped and reached a point they couldn't turn back from, I don't see them in the same light as say serial killers or even rapists. I don't believe a lot of them get actual satisfaction or enjoyment from the killings, I feel as if they just do it as a dramatic statement. A lot of them also commit suicide afterwards and I feel as if this is their twisted way of getting back at a world that failed them. Thoughts?
