Johnta Austin is a 26-year-old upcoming singer and songwriter on Jermaine Dupri's So So Def Recordings. As a songwriter he has won two Grammy Awards. His first as a co-writer of Mariah Carey's hit We Belong Together and his second as a co-writer of Mary J. Blige's hit Be Without You. He's also co-written songs for Mairah Carey ("We Belong Together", "Don't Forget About Us", "It's Like That", and "Shake It Off"), Chris Brown ("Say Goodbye", "Is This Love", "I'll Call Ya", and "I Wanna Be"), and so on.
He's supposedly dropping his debut album, "Ocean Drive" in June, with this serving as the lead single, but it's only gotten minor airplay. And if you can't tell, it was produced by Stargate.
